Questions regarding the project are due by 10:00 a.m. local time, Wednesday September 9, 2026. Time is of the essence, and the contractor must confirm the contract performance time of thirty (30) calendar days from the date of the Notice-to-Proceed in their bid proposal. All project work shall be substantially completed within the stated timeframe. This project is subject to liquidated damages as prescribed within the project manual in the Proposal Section. Bids must be accompanied by a bid guaranty in the amount of five (5) percent of the total amount of the bid. The bid guaranty may be by certified check or bid bond made payable to Salina Airport Authority. Bonding Requirements: If project costs exceed $100,000.00, the successful bidder will be required to furnish surety as follows: Performance Bond: A contract bond to the Salina Airport Authority, in an amount equal to 100 percent (100%) of the Contract Price. Payment Bond: A payment bond to the State of Kansas in an amount equal to 100 percent (100%) of the Contract price. The bonds shall be executed on the forms bound herein, signed by a surety company authorized to do business in the State of Kansas and acceptable as surety to the OWNER.
