Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Suffield, Connecticut. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.
The project involves the construction of approximately 2,200 feet of concrete sidewalks along with drainage improvements and two retaining walls. Sidewalk construction includes: driveway paving as required for areas disturbed by work. Drainage work includes: installation of one catch basin, 1 pipe end and 50 feet of storm drain pipe. Retaining wall includes an approximately 150 feet long by 2.5 feet high retaining wall with a chain link fence within the right of way and removal and replacement of a retaining wall for a driveway turnaround on property of 400 Mapleton Avenue. Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Bond, payable to the Town of Suffield, in the amount of 5% of the bid total as a guarantee. A certified check will not be accepted in lieu of a Bid Bond. The Town reserves the right to waive any informality or to reject any or all bids should it be in the Town's best interest to do so. The Contractor chosen for the project shall be required to furnish 100 % Performance and Labor and Material bonds and proof of required insurance coverage. All work under this project shall be subject to the Suffield Code of Ethics.
