The Town of Suffield and Suffield Public Schools are seeking proposals from qualified architectural firms for the design, documentation, bidding, and construction administration of restroom renovations at A. Ward Spaulding Elementary School. The project scope includes the renovation of four group student restrooms and four staff restrooms. The work will involve full demolition of existing restroom finishes and fixtures, replacement of plumbing fixtures (with Owner pre-selected fixtures anticipated), replacement of toilet partitions and accessories, and replacement of flooring, wall finishes, and ceiling systems. The scope also includes an ADA accessibility review and upgrades where practical and/or code mandated, as well as evaluation and upgrades to the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems as required, and connection of new systems to the existing building infrastructure. The selected firm will be responsible for evaluating utility capacity, reviewing code compliance, and preparing a comprehensive design package for public bidding.
