Question Deadline 09/18/2026 at 4:30 PM ET Questions may be e-mailed to the point of contact Michele Snyder Accd.contracts@vermont.gov Through this Request for Proposal (RFP) the Agency of Commerce and Community Development, Department of Housing and Community Development, Division for Historic Preservation (hereinafter the "State") intends to establish contracts with one or more companies that can provide window and door restoration services The State of Vermont seeks proposals for the following business needs: Pursuant to a larger grant funded weatherization and flood resiliency project, the Vermont Division for Historic Preservation - State Historic Sites program , is seeking bids for window and door restoration services at the Old Constitution House, 16 Main Street, Windsor, VT 05089. The project involves restoration of thirty-four (34) double hung twelve-over-twelve window sash, fifteen ( 15) paired ten-pane inswing casement windows and one (1 ) entry door with associated sidelights. The casement windows will receive a natural interior finish to match the existing finish. Project activities shall include restoration of the sash, jambs, frame , trim, sills, rough openings, and any hardware present to acceptable condition. Where currently operable, windows shall be rendered inoperable by means of fixed blocks mounted above and beneath the sash . Before being fixed in place, windows shall be weatherstripped by reversible, non-permanent means. The door and sidelights shall be restored on site. Windows will be restored in phases based on priority need. Priority openings shall include the primary facade, (01-001-5 through 02-001-5). followed by the remainder of the first-floor windows, followed by the remainder of the windows on the second floor. Additional project phases may require contractor to coordinate and assist, such as storm windows and porch casement windows. Work on these components will be treated as a change order, once overall project design is complete. Bidders shall provide proof of qualifications by having completed three projects similar in scope and scale within the past five years. RFP - OLD CONSTITUTION HOUSE WINDOW RESTORATION
