Improvement work for the Third Street Park playground, including site work and installation of playground equipment. The Village of Greenport is soliciting bids from qualified playground contractors to remove the existing playground equipment and design and install a new, safe, accessible, and inclusive playground at Third Street Park. The successful contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, delivery, installation, removal, disposal , site preparation, surfacing, and cleanup necessary to complete the project. The playground shall include, at minimum : 3-4 bay swing structure, including: 1 ADA-accessible swing; 2 infant/toddler swings; and 4 traditional swings. Early childhood play structure appropriate for younger children . o Accessible spinning play structure that can be used by children with disabilities. Appropriate ADA-accessible safety matting beneath/around the spinning structure. Removal and proper disposal of all existing playground structures. Preparation and leveling of the playground area as required. Perimeter edging around the entire play area. Engineered hardwood/engineered wood fiber safety surfacing throughout the playground. Installation of all equipment, anchoring, safety components, and required accessibility features. o Final cleanup and restoration of the site.
