The project consists of approximately 7,550 feet of existing unreclaimed highwalls and associated impoundments/hazardous water bodies from previous surface mining operations. These features are situated approximately 50 to 100 feet from Turkey Run. Dewatering of approximately 1.7 million gallons of water from the impoundments shall occur and then approximately 348,000 C.Y. of onsite soils shall be utilized to create the highwall backfill slopes of approx. 2.5:1. Project work shall occur on a construction footprint of approximately 36 total acres. Additional work for the site shall include access road/staging area construction; installation of sediment control, clearing and grubbing, installation of temporary stream crossings, rock/concrete lined channels, temporary seeding, application of lime, revegetation, wetland creation, installation of farm gates, soil ripping and tree planting. In lieu of the Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond required above, the bidder may submit the Bid Guaranty required by ORC Section 153.54(C) in the form of a Certified Check, Cashier's Check, or Letter of Credit pursuant to ORC Chapter 1305 and shall be equal to ten percent (10%) of the total Bid. The Bid Guaranty shall be payable to the State of Ohio, Department of Natural Resources, Division of Mineral Resources Management.
