The City of Castlegar is seeking proposals from qualified contractors to replace the existing automatic entrance door assemblies and vestibule entry system at the Library. The current double-door system is aging, approaching the end of its service life, and may not fully meet current accessibility or building code requirements. The intent of this project is to procure a durable, commercial-grade automatic entrance solution that provides safe, reliable, and accessible operation for all users of the facility. Proponents are expected to assess the existing conditions and recommend the most appropriate door system, including any modifications required to support installation and achieve compliance with applicable codes and accessibility standards. Site review and measurement verification. Assessment of existing conditions, development of design recommendations, and review of code and accessibility compliance requirements. The successful contractor is expected to get any of the required permits applicable to the removal andinstallation Removal and environmentally responsible disposal of existing door assemblies, operators, controls, andassociated hardware. Supply and installation of new doors, frames, glazing, operators, controls, activation devices, safety sensors, and associated hardware. oElectrical work required for operation of the door system. Integration with existing building systems, including security and access control systems, where applicable. Any required modifications to framing, glazing, finishes, or adjacent building components. Testing, commissioning, and adjustment of the completed installation. Staff orientation and training. Provision of warranty documentation, operation manuals, and maintenance requirements. The City isrequesting a minimum of a 1 -year warranty period after the installation is complete.
