The Town of Aquinnah (Owner") seeks proposals from qualified, licensed and insured contractors for two projects. Scope of Work: Selected contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, tools, equipment and supervision necessary to complete the following: Remove and dispose of existing siding down to the sheathing, including disposal/recycling in accordance with local regulations; Inspect exposed sheathing and framing for rot, insect damage or moisture intrusion, document and photograph any deficiencies found; Repair or replace damaged sheathing and framing as authorized by Owner.ee Section 4.3 Repair all identified rot in sheathing, framing, trim or sill/header areas prior to closing in new siding and windows, document and photograph affected areas before and after repair; All window openings, including proper flashing, insulation and interior/exterior trim-out installed per manufacturer instructions; Install a new water-resistive barrier (Henry Blueskin self-adhered house wrap) per manufacturer specifications and local code); Install new flashing at all windows, doors, and penetration and roof-wall intersections ; Furnish and install new premium- grade A cedar shake shingles; Furnish and install all trim, corner boards (if necessary), fascia, and starter courses; Furnish Azek (cellular PVC) trim (using stainless screws and bunged; edges painted white) to match existing trim or as otherwise agreed with Owner; Replace all interior trim with clear grade pine/poplar; Contractor shall apply a complete paint system on replacement window trim (inside and outside) consisting of spot-priming of all field cuts, one full coat of exterior primer (if required by manufacturer), two (2) finish coats of 100% acrylic exterior paint. All surfaces shall be sanded, cleaned, and prepared to ensure a smooth, uniform finish free of visible defects.
