Renovation of ADA bathrooms in Bowman Hall. Demolition and removal of selected portions of exterior or interior of building or structure and site elements. Removal and salvage of existing items for delivery to Owner and removal of existing items for reinstallation. Answers : will be provided and uploaded to this advertisement on Thursday, October 15 , 2026, by 3:00 PM . Estimated Physical Project Start Date : Monday, May 17, 2027 Estimated Completion of Project : Tuesday, August 17 , 2027 Project Estimated Value: $ 390,000.00 . The scope of work for asbestos abatement shall include the following: 1 . 2. 3. 4. Properly remove and dispose of all drywall from the ceiling. Anticipate removal of two layers of drywall. Remove any mastics between drywall and framing as required. Detach components scheduled for removal attached to drywall walls including but not limited to cove base, fin tube radiators and electrical components. Install anchors/screws etc. as necessary for installation of wall framing, fin tube radiators, grab bars, and any other materials that will disturb drywall. Perform all other scheduled demolition required to reach extents of scheduled drywall removal. Remove floor tile under wardrobes scheduled for demolition if present. Refer to full drawing set for additional detail . Approximately 650 square feet of drywall was identified. Remove a portion of the drywall wall as required for new door opening and door frame installation. Anticipate removal of two layers of drywall. Remove any mastics between drywall and framing as required. Leave a straight edge at limits of removal and apply an encapsulant intended by the manufacturer for lockdown of asbestos fibers to edges scheduled to remain. Install any required framing/blocking to accommodate new door installation if such installation will disturb the ACM drywall system. Coordinate work with associated trade to ensure uncertified workers will not disturb the ACM. Approximately 260 square feet of drywall was identified. Remove and dispose of fire doors with assumed asbestos-containing insulation. A total of six doors were identified, with a total of approximately 144 square feet of fire door insulation. Demolish wardrobes anchored to asbestos-containing drywall wall system. Remove all anchors, etc. Patch/encapsulate wall as required. Remove floor tile and mastic if present beneath wardrobe. A total of four wardrobes were identified, with a total of approximately 300 square feet of drywall. Remove door frame and a portion of the drywall wall as required for new door frame installation. Anticipate removal of two layers of drywall. Remove any mastics between drywall and framing as required. Leave a straight edge at limits of removal and apply an encapsulant intended by the manufacturer for lockdown of asbestos fibers to edges scheduled to remain. Install any required framing/blocking to accommodate new door installation if such installation will disturb the ACM drywall system. Coordinate work with associated trade to ensure uncertified workers will not disturb the ACM. A total of six door frames were identified, with a total of approximately 120 square feet of drywall. Properly remove and dispose of drywall from ceilings and walls as required to accommodate new plumbing and sprinkler work. Anticipate removal of two layers of drywall. Remove any mastics between drywall and framing as required. Leave a straight edge at limits of removal and apply an encapsulant intended by the manufacturer for lockdown of asbestos fibers to edges scheduled to remain. Refer to plumbing and fire protection drawings for additional detail . Approximately 40 square feet of drywall may be disturbed. Properly remove and dispose of drywall from window systems as required to facilitate architectural modifications. Anticipate removal of two layers of drywall. Remove any mastics between drywall and framing as required. Refer to architectural drawings for more information. Remove window blinds attached to drywall. Leave a straight edge at limits of removal and apply an encapsulant intended by the manufacturer for lockdown of asbestos fibers to edges scheduled to remain. Window frame caulk is PCB-containing. Dispose of any caulk, drywall abutting caulk and associated debris as PCB bulk product waste. Approximately 100 square feet of drywall may be disturbed. a 30% for MWBE , participation , 11% for Minority-Owned Business Enterprises ("MBE") participation and 19%for Women-Owned Business Enterprises ("WBE") participation, DVBE (6%)
