Demolition, site work, asbestos abatement and renovation of a water / sewer project in Chicago Heights, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project; for the demolition of a water / sewer project; and for asbestos abatement for a water / sewer project.
Removal and replacement of industrial pumps, piping, valves, and fittings at a wastewater treatment plant. Includes construction of a temporary diversion of flow, asbestos and lead-based paint mitigation, installation of an overhead crane system, and modifications to control room openings. The project generally consists of pumping and electrical equipment removal and replacement in Building #3 at the wastewater treatment plant. Industrial Pumps 1 , 2 and 3 and connected pipe, valves & fittings will be removed and replaced with two new pumps, piping, valves & fittings in the east lower level of Building #3. Contractor shall construct a temporary diversion of flow in the Industrial Bypass Chamber to divert flow away from industrial pump wet well for a 72-hour period. Existing motors, pumps , piping, valves, fittings, conduit, wire, control panels and associated materials are to be removed and disposed of in a safe and legal manner. Segments of pipe have an asbestos containing material and are to be removed and properly disposed of. Coatings in pump room are identified as being lead based and are to be mitigated and properly disposed of. Bonds: 10% Bid Bond.
