Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Chicago Heights, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.
The work for the program year consists of asphalt pavement patching (1,550 SY), concrete driveway (1,50 SF), concrete sidewalk (840 SF) and concrete curb and gutter (600LF). Work is distributed at various locations throughout the city. A pre-bid meeting will not be held. Each Bid shall be accompanied by a bid bond, cashier's check or certified check drawn on a solvent bank in the State of Illinois payable without condition to the Owner in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the bid amount as a guarantee that the Bidder will within fifteen (15) days after the date of the award of a contact execute an agreement and file bond and insurance as required by the Contract Documents if their Bid is accepted. The successful bidder shall furnish, in manner and form acceptable to the City, a payment bond in the full amount of the Contract guaranteeing payment of all material used and for all labor performed. The right is reserved to reject any or all proposals, to waive technicalities, to postpone the bid opening, or to advertise for new proposals, if in the judgment of the Mayor and City Council their best interests will be promoted thereby. by Rachel Vega, City Clerk.
