Site work for a water / sewer project in Chicago Heights, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Sealed bids are requested from interested contractors to replace 9 fire hydrants and install 7 Advanced Valve Technologies EZ Valves at various locations in the City of Chicago Heights. Bids must be submitted in duplicate in a sealed envelope labeled accordingly, with contractor name and address. A refundable $5,000 certified check or bid bond is required, along with a performance and payment bond from the successful bidder. Prevailing Wage must be paid, and certified payroll records submitted in compliance with the Prevailing Wage Act. Bids will be accepted from responsible, qualified contractors. The City reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, waive bid irregularities, postpone the bid opening, or advertise for new proposals if deemed in the city's best interests.
