Sealed proposals will be received for asphalt paving repair and sealcoating at Bloom Trail High School, Bloom High School, and Bloom Township High School District 206. Bidders must obtain plans and specifications from the Architect and register, completing a bidder information form and providing an A.I.A. Document A-305 (Contractor Qualification Statement). Electronic bid documents are available at no cost; hard copies require a $100 deposit, refundable upon bid submission and return of complete, undamaged sets. Each bid must include a bid bond or certified check for at least 10% of the bid amount as a guarantee. The successful bidder must provide a 100% Performance Bond and a Labor/Material Bond from an approved Surety. Bidders must examine the plans, specifications, and work site, and must base their bids on this examination and their judgment. The prevailing wage law applies, and the successful bidder must comply with all applicable State of Illinois and federal public works laws, as well as the State of Illinois Human Rights Act and Illinois Human Rights Commission regulations. The Board of Education reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, waive irregularities or technicalities, and award the bid in the Owner's best interest.
