Demolition, site work and renovation of a swimming pool in Fairless Hills, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for the demolition of a swimming pool; and for the renovation of a swimming pool.

Purchase and installation of a new pool pump and removal of the existing pool pump. These specifications are intended to describe the removal of an existing pool pump and the installation of a new pool pump . Any items omitted from the specification that would adversely affect the safety, operation, effectiveness, intended functionality, efficiency or longevity of the pool pump is to be considered part of the specifications. SCOPE OF WORK A. The work required under this Section shall include all labor, equipment, tools, materials, transportation, and all means necessary to perform the work as specified in these Specifications , or as necessary for a complete and fully functional project. B. All work is to be performed Monday to Friday from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm. Work will not be permitted to be performed on weekends. C. The contractor is to remove and dispose of existing pump. D. The contractor shall supply and install the following: o Pump, Horizontal, 20 Horsepower, 208-230/460 volts, 3-Phase, Ansi 6"/5", without strainer, Speck Normblock Multi-Series, Model 125/250, No Substitute Variable frequency drive, 20 horsepower, 3 phase electrical power, NEMA 4X, 380-480V. o 20 Horsepower Pump Stand o o o o Butterfly valve, 6", Praher K4 , No Substitute Schedule 80 pipe and fittings. New stainless-steel nuts, bolts, and washers as needed. Remove two tees that are blank flanged and reconnect directly to surge tank and pump discharge piping. Replace the existing conduit inside of the concrete pump base as needed. If new strainer center line is higher than existing suction flange on surge tank install additional 10" fittings to adjust elevation . E. The contractor is responsible for connecting and calibrating the flow meter, and for start-up and commissioning of the variable frequency drive to control the pump motor speed to maintain the desired flow rate. F. Contractor shall apply for all necessary permits. The County will pay for the permit costs. G. Manufacturer's standard warranty for the pump shall be included.
