Reference Number 00005221585 BC Timber Sales (BCTS), Strait of Georgia Business Area, invites bids from qualified forestry road contractors for the provision of forest road, bridge, and log dump maintenance and deactivation services within the Port Alberni Operating Area. This contract offers a diverse range of work opportunities on an as-needed basis, including road and drainage maintenance, bridge maintenance, culvert installation and repair, road reconstruction, road deactivation, danger tree falling, brushing, grading, surfacing, drilling and blasting, riprap placement, and emergency response repairs. Minor road construction projects may also be included. Work will support the ongoing management of forest infrastructure essential to safe public access, sustainable forest operations, and timber harvesting activities throughout the operating area. The successful contractor will work in varied terrain and operating conditions and will be expected to provide experienced personnel, specialized equipment, and the flexibility to respond to planned and emergency work assignments. This contract includes an option to renew and presents an opportunity for contractors seeking a steady stream of forestry infrastructure projects within the Strait of Georgia Business Area.
