The project consists of: Perry County Housing - Chavies Project, Contract A (Demolition). The OWNER reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all bids. This project includes the demolition of approx. 8,900 S.F. of building, approx. 2,500 S.F. of pavement , demolition of various other items, the installation of approx. 300 feet of 8" Gravity Sewer Line, 340 feet of 3" Waterline, 330 feet of roadway, site grading, and other associated appurtenances and work in an area which was at one time an elementary school facility. All construction activities are eventually drained into the North Fork Kentucky River watershed. The Construction includes the installation of New Manholes, water blowoffs, Valves, roof drainage items, roadway and concrete parking areas, and other appurtenances. The existing condition of the construction zone does not significantly vary from an old, dilapidated school building and surrounding grounds. The utility work will be constructed in areas which are not covered by existing roads or old building. The soils found in the area are the Dekalb-Rock Outcrop-Latham Association (DLF) at the crest of the hill and the Shelota-Cutshin Association (SCF) in areas outside the crest of the hill. The only areas for the project which are considered critical for erosion/sediment control are the highly sloped area to the east of the principal construction zone (in SCF Soils). Almost all other areas of the Project have slopes less than 10%
