Demolition and site work for a water / sewer project in San Leandro, California. Completed plans call for the demolition of a water / sewer project.
Dismantling of existing fixed film reactors (trickling filter) including removal of steel and concrete elements. Includes removal and onsite stacking of approximately 4,900 cubic yards of lead-positive plastic filter media, construction of a double-lined storage area, and site regrading with placement of grey rock. Question Deadline 10/22/2026 at 5:00 PM PT Questions regarding the plans and specifications may be submitted in writing to the project manager Hayes Morehouse, Water Pollution Control Manager The work to be done includes, but not limited to, dismantling of existing fixed film reactors (trickling filter). All steel and concrete elements need to be removed and transported for recycling. Plastic filter media (testing positive for lead) - approximately 4,900 cubic yards shall be removed and stacked on site for removal under separate contract, within a double-lined storage area of not less than 22,000 square feet, including cover liner and perimeter erosion controls, constructed by the Contractor and left in place at completion of the work. Regrade area of fixed film reactor, plus an additional 50' radius to leave the area flat and place a 3-inch lift of 3/4 grey rock of uniform color. The Engineer has estimated that the value of work is $430,000-$500,000.
