Construction of a floodwater diversion structure. Question Deadline 10/30/2026 at 5:00 PM MT Bid Bond 5 % - Performance Bond 100 % - Surety Bond 100 % - Payment Bond 100 % ZUBER DRAW SITE No. 4 is located approximately 11 miles south of Roswell and 8 miles west of Dexter, Chaves County, New Mexico. Access to the site is from Honolulu Rd . (Latitude: 33 14' 2" N, Longitude: 104 30' 35"W) or W. Chickasaw Rd . (Latitude: 33 08' 22" N, Longitude: 104 28' 02"W). The project consists of reshaping and restoring portions of a diversion berm approximately 7.0 miles in length. Repair of minor erosion for approximately 16,300 linear feet of the diversion downstream faces, crowns, and slope faces of the existing diversion, alongside two steep-grade channel sections. Within this repair zone is an extensive overtopping reconstruction section requiring substantial subgrade preparation, deep excavation, and compacted earthfill placement. Foundation Subgrade will require excavation below surveyed gully bottoms. Downstream slopes must be excavated to a 1.0: 1 slope to tie into natural ground ; upstream slopes must be excavated to a 2.0: 1 slope to a level top bench daylighting through the diversion. Earthfill must be placed in 9-inch loose lifts with a maximum particle size limit of 6 inches. Class A compaction requirements apply, ensuring earthfill is placed to 95% of Standard Proctor (ASTM D-698) with moisture content between minus (-) 2% and plus (+) 2 % of optimum. All work shall be completed in accordance with the contract drawings, technical specifications, and all applicable federal, state, and local requirements. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to Engineer in writing. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda delivered to all parties recorded as having received the Bidding Documents.
