The site is open and available, and bidders must visit the site before submitting a bid The Work consists of the construction of a new multi-purpose synthetic turf athletic field and related site improvements, as shown on the Drawings and specified herein, including but not limited to: Erosion and sediment controls, the Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP), and compliance with the Order of Conditions, Superseding Order of Conditions and Final Order of Conditions, MassDEP File No. 046-0630. Selective site demolition and removal of existing vegetation, pavement, goal posts, footings, posts, fencing, irrigation and concrete pads within the limit of work. Earthwork, subgrade preparation and free-draining stone base for the athletic field. Synthetic turf field with shock pad and inlaid markings for soccer, football , lacrosse and field hockey; goals, athletic equipment, protective netting and scoreboard. Field subdrainage, trench drains, storm drainage structures and piping, and the bioretention swale and vegetative filter strip. Bituminous concrete bike path, stone dust path transitions, granite cobblestone paving, reset granite block traffic barriers, concrete walkways and curb, and accessible route improvements. Segmental block retaining walls, and the terraced seating area with clay brick unit pavers. Chain link fences and gates, ornamental steel picket fence, natural cedar split rail fence, and maintenance access gates.
