Scope of Work: Contractor to supply all the labor, equipment and materials to provide plowing and treatment with de-icers of the parking lots listed above, to maintain these lots in a passable condition for vehicles and pedestrians. These parking lots provide parking for the associated public buildings, all of which have their own standard hours of operation plus events/meetings at other times, as described in the General Conditions/Specifications section of this bid. The deicing material must be salt or salt brine. Snow removal may be required at times upon request of the City of Augusta. The City of Augusta will accept sealed bids for Winter Plowing and Application of De-icing Materials for Lithgow Library, Buker Community Center and Augusta City Center parking lots located in Augusta in accordance with the enclosed specifications. Bidders will be required to complete the attached Bid Form. Bidders are required to state any exceptions to the items listed on the bid form. The City of Augusta is exempt from paying Federal Excise Taxes, as well as State of Maine Sale and Use Taxes. Please bid less these taxes. Upon application, exemption certificates will be furnished. The contract period shall be from October 30, 2025 through April 30, 2027 and the City of Augusta reserves the right to increase or decrease the scope of work at any time during the contract. The contract can be extended until April 30, 2028, upon mutual agreement by both parties. The City of Augusta reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, or portions thereof, and waive any technicalities or formalities should it be in the best interest of the City of Augusta.
