This project includes removal and disposal of an existing in-floor, flush-mounted high school regulation basketball court, and design and installation of a new in-floor, flush mounted, college regulation basketball court that meets NCAA standards. While there is a block of time set aside for this project, the project may need to be completed in stages due to existing event contracts. The project shall include, but not be limited to the following: A. Removal o Demolition and full removal of the current in-floor high school basketball court, including subfloor and any adhesives or materials as necessary o Disposal of all materials B. Design & Installation o Design & installation of new in-floor basketball court: o Must meet current NCAA regulation dimensions and requirements o Use of high-performance, durable maple wood or equivalent material o Line markings per High School and NCAA standards (including key, arc, sidelines, center court, etc.) o Integrated floor anchoring systems for goals and other equipment o Court finish: High-durability sealants suitable for high traffic usage o Logos for sponsors and venue painted on court o ADA compliance. o Building code compliance. C. Additional Work o Expansion of slab depression to accommodate college sized court o Site preparation o Repair or reinforcement of subfloor as needed o Touch-up painting or floor restoration around the court if needed o Coordination with City of Augusta Contracted Electrician to relocate electrical pockets/wiring impacted by court enlargement o Coordination with Augusta Civic Center management to minimize disruption to daily business of the Augusta Civic Center. o Site Clean-up and removal of all debris. o Bidders wishing to consider the addition of any value-added services are encouraged to do so but shall ensure that the information is duly noted as "value-added information" and shall be inclusive of any additional costs associated with the "value-added information" o THE WORK WILL BE SCHEDULED BETWEEN JULY 27, 2026 THROUGH SEPTEMBER 30, 2026 with the following exceptions: o No work can be done from August 20-23, 2026 o No work can be done September 10-15, 2026 The court that is in-construction will need to be covered and available for events, including guests walking on this area during these time periods. This should be accounted for in the pricing. Deliverables Project must be completed by September 30, 2026.
