The University of Maine System will hereinafter be referred to as the "University." Respondents to the document shall be referred to as "Respondent(s)" or "Respondent". The Respondent to whom the Agreement is awarded shall be referred to as the "Contractor." The University of Maine System and other components of the University shall be referred to as "Multi-Institution" The University intends to enter into a Master Agreement with the selected respondent(s). Specific scope, including specific requirements and cost, shall be negotiated after an award is made, during contract negotiations. Respondents may be required to comply with multiple DFARS flow-down clauses including the ability to send, receive, generate, and store Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI). A strong preference will be given to respondents with prior and current Department of Defense contract performance experience. The University of Maine is seeking two separate categories of services: naval architecture and marine engineering. Respondents may be considered for either or both categories of services. UMaine also requests that respondents provide onsite and/or off-site staff augmentation services. Naval Architecture 1. Concept, preliminary, and contract design services for vessels 20-80 ft. LOA including: a. Hull form design b. Hydrostatics c. Arrangements d. Structural analyses e. Powering f. Intact and damaged stability g. Seakeeping analyses 2.
