Renovation of a military facility in Bangor, Maine. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a 32,000-square-foot, one-story above grade military facility.
The Department of Defense, Veterans and Emergency Management wishes to procure architectural/engineering services for the NGRC Building 255 Renovation Project at the Bangor East Training Site, Bangor, Maine. This is a two-part construction project. The first part is the construction of an approximately 9,000 square foot addition which will house the Army Band rehearsal rooms; practice rooms; music library; storage rooms plus required infrastructure for this addition. The second phase of this project is the complete renovation of Bldg. 255 which is a one story building originally constructed in 1941 and is approximately 23,000 square feet. Purpose of this renovation is to bring the facility into compliance with all applicable building and life safety codes and to replace infrastructure, fixtures and finishes and that are obsolete and past their useful life. Estimated construction costs for Part I is 3.5 million dollars and 5.6 million dollars for Part II. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
