The Project is located at Fortunes Rocks Road, an area of the City's costal community as shown on Sheet A-1 of the bid drawing and is described as follows: Granite ocean wall rehabilitation. The city is looking for a Time and Material bid to do the following work: Bring granite wall back to shape using as much existing materials as possible along with added materials needed from ground beach level to 3.5 feet above road elevation plus or minus. The planned timeframe for Substantial Completion of construction of the Project is 30 Working Days after the commencement date stated in the Notice to Proceed. An excusable delay, and an extension of time is granted by the City to Contractor. Bid Proposal and Security 6. Bid Proposal Form Each bid must be submitted on contractor letter head. Bid Security Each Bid Proposal must be accompanied by a bid bond executed by a surety licensed to do business in the State of Maine. The bid security must guarantee that within ten days after City issues the Apparent Low Bidder Notice ("ALB Notice"), the bidder must execute the Contract and submit payment and performance bonds, warranty bonds, insurance certificates and endorsements, as required by the Contract Documents. Performance, Payment, and Warranty Bonds The successful bidder will be required to provide performance and payment bonds each in the amount of 100% of the Contract Price and a Warranty Bond in the amount of 15% of the Contract Price.
