Site work, paving and renovation of a mixed-use development in Calais, Maine. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; for the renovation of a water / sewer project; and water / sewer project.

As of Sept 16.2019 project has not been awarded yet. The project consists of Work under this project includes, but is not limited to, miscellaneous improvements to the wastewater treatment plant including a new water service line and hydrant, backflow prevention and piping improvements, new No. 4 influent pump portable gantry crane, replacement of pump room level door, frame and hardware,structural improvements to both of the secondary clarifiers including replacement of diamond plate platform with grating, restoration of grating supports, restoration of diamond plate to-remain, replacement of aeration basin No. 2 surface aerator, aerator supports and metal fabrication, and all demolition, earthwork, paving,piping, painting, equipment, electrical and incidentals including all labor, equipment and materials needed to complete the project. Alternate Bid No. 1 includes the restoration of clarifier bridge beam, cross members and effluent trough supports. In order to be considered as a responsive bidder, each general contractor must be on the Engineer's bidding register by purchasing at least one set of bidding documents directly from the Engineer's office. The Owner reserves the right to reject any bid if the evidence submitted by, or investigation of, such Bidder fails to satisfy the Owner that such Bidder is properly qualified to carry out the obligations of the contract and to complete the work contemplated therein. The successful bidder shall be required to provide both a Performance and a Payment Bond, each representing 100% of the contract value, at the time of contract execution. The project must be substantially completed within 60 consecutive calendar days and complete within 90 calendar days after the execution of Notice to Proceed. A certified check or bank draft payable to the Owner or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and Surety Company in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the Bid shall be submitted with each bid. No bid may be withdrawn for at least 90 days after receipt of bids unless released by Owner. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to accept any bid that it deems to be in its best interests, and to waive any irregularities in bidding.
