The Fort Williams Park Committee on behalf of the Town of Cape Elizabeth, Maine is seeking interested bidders to provide playground equipment and installation of the new equipment at Fort Williams Park, adjacent to the Children's Garden. The project includes supplying and installing a cone net spinner with floor (accessible), 3-bay 8' swing (with specified swings), sculptural climber for ages 2-5, sailing boat with flag, and nautical themed play equipment for ages 5-12 with minimum specified features. Equipment installation must be according to provided plans and meet playground safety and ASTM F1487 standards. The equipment provider shall coordinate with the site contractor's schedule. Bidders must attend a pre-construction meeting, coordinate laydown and staging with the Park Director, and provide all necessary labor and equipment. Work must be completed on or before May 31, 2026. No display of company signage is allowed without approval. Work hours are Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Compliance with OSHA regulations and appropriate work attire is required. Bidders will invoice upon satisfactory completion approved by the Park Director. Mobilization or fuel surcharges will not be paid. Monthly progress payments will have 5% retainage, possibly held up to one year or until site stabilization. Insurance coverage is required as specified. Bids are to be lump sum, excluding taxes, fuel surcharges, and mobilization fees, submitted on the provided form in a sealed, marked envelope. Experience and quality will be considered in award, not just lowest cost. The Town reserves the right to waive informalities or reject bids if deemed in its best interest.
