Site work for a playground / park / athletic field in Cape Elizabeth, Maine. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field.

The required work consists of preparing the site for a playground installation at Fort Williams Park, located adjacent to the Children's Garden. The tasks include site preparation and layout according to the plans, excavation within equipment use zones, construction of paved, stone dust, and mulch paths as well as a sand area, and preparation of base aggregate for new playground equipment installation. The contractor will coordinate with the town's playground equipment installers and the town will provide wood playground safety surfacing. Additional responsibilities include placement and supplementing of seating and edging boulders and logs (provided and stockpiled by the town), constructing and installing log edging, an arched bridge, and vertical log steppers, preparing lawn areas with loam and seeding, and preparation of planting areas by removing sod and installing loam. There is also an add alternate for relocating and constructing a stone wall as shown on the plans. The successful bidder must attend a pre-construction meeting, provide site security, preparation, and cleanup, coordinate staging with the Park Director, and supply all necessary labor and equipment. All work must be completed by a specified date. No company signage is permitted unless approved. Work hours are restricted to weekdays between 7:00 AM and 6:00 PM. The contractor must comply with all applicable O.S.H.A. regulations, ensure proper attire and safety gear for workers, and invoice upon satisfactory completion of work. Mobilization and fuel surcharges are not paid separately. Progress payments may be submitted monthly based on percent completion, with a 5% retainage held by the Town. Insurance coverage naming the Town as certificate holder and additionally insured is required, with specified coverage minimums for general liability, automobile liability, and workers' compensation and employer's liability.
