Renovation of a detention facility in Farmington, Maine. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a detention facility.
Franklin County Commissioners are requesting proposals for lock and security and controls for the cell block and access door system at Franklin County Detention Center located at Farmington, Maine. The proposed system is to update the current supervisory controls and data acquisition system including software, programable logic controls, network, central processing unit, all locks and cell mechanisms including any required wiring to the existing facility. The project will also need to address a few defective doors that need to be replaced. The proposal should include a 24-volt lock system and a new intercom system. Security System at Franklin County Jail- Specifications: Engineering needs to obtain exact measurements for doors, locks, and controls and needed rewiring. Removal and replacement of existing lock system during ongoing operation of the jail. Replacement of locks, switches, wiring and associated hardware to provide fully electronic locks for the jail. Camera/video units for surveillance of all cell blocks, the entrances of jail spaces and interior spaces within the jail as well as a new intercom system for the facility. The equipment will include a graphic control unit to serve up to 44 doors. The wiring harnesses and wiring for all units and door locks. A controls console, backup power units, and all associated needs for operation materials including a cabinet to house the relays and wiring network. All door controls with lock units will be included for the existing doors. Any needed conduit and cabling must be included and secured so it is tamper-proof. The proposal should include a data acquisition system including software, programable logic controls and network updates. Franklin County Commissioners reserve the right to accept or reject any or all proposals, should it be in the County's best interest.
