All Bids must be accompanied by a copy of a satisfactory Bid Bond for 5% of the Bid (checks will not be accepted) which shall be in conformity with the form of Bond contained in Section 00 43 13 of the Specifications. Upon determination of the apparent low bidder, the University will contact the low bidder and request an original hard copy of the bid bond be delivered within 72 hours. The University reserves the right to waive all formalities and reject any or all bids or to accept any bids. Scholarships, donations or gifts to the University will not be considered in the evaluation of responses. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish a 100% Performance Bond and a 100% Payment Bond to cover the execution of the Contract which shall be in conformity with the form of Bonds contained in Sections 00 61 13.13 and 00 61 13.16, respectively, of the Specifications and shall be for the Contract amount. The work involves the interior renovation of the existing free-standing building at 274 Front Street at location as indicated on Drawings. Work includes, but is not limited to, selective demolition, and addition of exterior doors and windows, concrete pads and patios at exterior door locations, new and reuse of existing roof penetrations. Work also includes metal partitions, insulation, gypsum board walls and ceilings, acoustical ceilings, resilient flooring, carpeting, custom cabinets and fixtures, carpentry, interior glass storefront systems, painting, wood doors, metal doors, metal frames, door hardware, toilet partitions and accessories, signage, fire protection and detection systems, security systems, electrical, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning complete and ready for use.
