The lowest responsive bidder must demonstrate successful completion of projects of similar size and scope to be considered for the award of this contract. Work associated with the Fort Fairfield - Cross Culvert (#97545) Replacement initiative on Forest Avenue will require excavation of select Dredge Material from an unnamed stream (Class B Waterbody) that flows northwest to Libby Brook (Class B Waterbody). It is estimated that approximately 50 cubic yards of dredge will be excavated at the project location. There is onsite Beneficial Use for all Dredge Material. Description: WIN. 022859.00 Location: In Aroostook County, project is located along Forest Ave., 1.43 miles south of the Dumond Rd. and extends 0.095 mi. Questions received after 12:00 noon of Monday (or if that Monday is a state holiday, Friday) prior to bid date will not be answered. Bidders shall not contact any other Departmental staff for clarification of Contract provisions, and the Department will not be responsible for any interpretations so obtained. TTY users call Maine Relay 711. Each Bid must be made upon blank forms provided by the. Department and must be accompanied by a bid bond at 5% of the bid amount or an official bank check, cashier's check, certified check, certificate of deposit, or United States postal money order in the amount of 5% ofthe bid amount, payable to Treasurer, State of Maine as a Bid guarantee. A Contract Performance Surety Bond and a Contract Payment Surety Bond, each in the amount of 100 percent of the Contract price, will be required of the successful Bidder. This Contract is subject to all applicable State Laws. The right is hereby reserved to the MaineDOT to reject any or all bids. MEDOT - Large Culvert Replacement - Fort Fairfield - Region 5 Please note: The Department will accept a facsimile of the bid bond; however, the original bid bond must then be received at the MDOT Contract Section within 72 hours of the bid opening. Until further notice, dual bids (one paper, one electronic) will be accepted, with the paper copy taking precedence The Contractor may begin work July 5th , 2022 The Contract Completion Date will be no later than October 8th 2022.
