Maine School Administrative District 20 is conducting a competitive bid process for the replacement of the high school heating system, to include two boilers, burners, circulator pumps and fuel delivery system, at the Fort Fairfield Middle/ High School, in Fort Fairfield Maine. Scope of Work Boilers-HB Smith 28A series 14 section cast iron. Burners- Webster burners-dual fuel (oil/propane). Installation of two new replacement Smith 28a 14 section boilers to include: Removal and disposal of existing boilers, removal of existing cement pad, installing new custom cement pads, installation of new boilers per manufacturer's instructions and tested for maximum efficiency. Webster burners with control system that communicates with each other, has central controls, monitors supply and return temperature, and adjusts water temperature according to outside air temperature. Replace (8) gate valves and 5 new multipurpose valves and tapings for temperature and pressure sensors in both hot water supply and return. Remove and replace circulator pumps and motors with new taco pumps, motors, and speed drives (must be BAC-NET compatible). Remove and replace fuel delivery system capable of suppling 75 gph of fuel with alarm system, back up pump and motor, and containment. Interested vendors/ contractors will be required to perform a mandatory walk-through prior to placing a bid.
