Site work for a water / sewer project in Houlton, Maine. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Phase 2 Water Main Replacement The Project includes installing owner furnished water main materials for the following Work: The replacement of approximately 6,100 ft of 10-inch asbestos cement water main with 12-inch ductile iron water main. New water main to be installed parallel to the existing main within the Houlton Water Company's existing cross-country right-of-way. The existing water main will remain in service during the duration of the new water main installation. Project includes interconnections to the existing water main at the Reservoir Hill Tank and extend to the White Settlement Road booster station with ability to bypass the station upon completion of a new booster station closer to the tank. The project location intersects forested wetland features which will require erosion control and mitigation measures to be established, by the contractor, prior to the initiation of work. Wetlands restoration efforts will be required to conclude the installation of water main and associated appurtenances. Tree clearing will be required to expand existing cross-country corridor to accommodate installation of new water main. Question Deadline 11/21/2025
