Building 11 - City Hall Building Window Replacement Project The City hall window project would replace thirty-nine (39) existing casement and fixed wood windows on the Park and Pine Street sides of City Hall with new wood-framed, double-hung and fixed windows with Low-E/Argon insulated glass as recommended in the Lewiston City Hall Master Plan completed by Harriman Associates in 1989. The existing casement windows were installed in the 1970's energy crunch to improve the energy efficiency of the building. The window exterior finish will have bronze cladding, while the interior would be wood that could be painted or stained to match the interior finish. The new windows would look like the original windows that were installed in 1892, but be much easier to clean from the inside with less potential for failure of operating parts, and would carry a new 20-year warranty on the glass and ten years on the rest of the windows. As of May 14, 2022, this project is currently in the FY 2023-2027 CIP . Funding for this project is allotted in the city's capital improvement plan for construction Fy 2024. A firm timeline has not been established; however, construction is scheduled for Fiscal Year 2024. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP).
