Site work and new construction of a civil project in Mars Hill, Maine. Completed plans call for the construction of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.
As of 01/06/2022 This project has not been awarded. Construction of a new water treatment facility constructed of wood framing with vinyl siding, with a standing seam metal roof and installation of well pumps. The water treatment facility will be equipped with ancillary piping and chemical feed systems, VFDs, electrical, lighting, unit heaters, propane tanks and a exterior mounted emergency standby generator. The site work includes, grading, chain link fence and gates, site piping, and underground electrical service as shown on the design plans. The number of days to substantial completion is 180 and final completion is 210 days. The building foundation and water mains stubbed out above building slab elevation has been completed under Contract 1. Construction of a new water treatment facility on Antworth Lane on land owned by the Mars Hill & Blaine Water Company. The Work includes, but is not limited to, the following: 1. Water Treatment Building: a. Wood Framing with Vinyl Siding b. Standing seam metal roof c. Exterior and interior doors 2. Site work a. Grubbing (Clearing to be completed by Others) b. Grading c. Ditching d. Gravel driveway e. Fencing f. Generator and propane tank concrete pad g. Holding tank (tight tank) and dry well h. Site utilities not previously installed by others. 3. Concrete work: a. Propane tank pad, generator pad b. Door entrance pad and ramp c. Building foundation, slab by others prior to start of this contract 4. Electrical a. Lighting b. Power and conduit c. Underground power/controls conduit and associated equipment to wells from the treatment facility d. Buried electrical service e. Transformer f. VFDs g. Panels including: i. Relocation of electrical equipment temporarily mounted on the site to serve well TW-1 to be relocated to the facility electrical room. Refer to electrical drawings for details. 5. Mechanical/HVAC a. Unit heaters b. Floor drain c. Emergency Shower d. Louvers e. Duct work and fans f. Temperature Control 6. Process a. Disinfection of potable water piping inside the new facility b. Installation of pitless adapters on wells TW-1, 1A, TW-3, 3A c. Installation of submersible pumps in wells TW-1A, TW-3, TW-3A. i. Pull and reset pump for TW-1 and coordinate with pitless adapter install. d. Chemical feed pumps, day tanks, weigh scales, and associated piping and appurtenances including chemical injection nozzles. e. Water softener and GAC filter f. Ductile iron process piping and fittings g. Valves (Butterfly, Needle, Pressure relief, chemical feed equipment valves, check valves) h. Installation of 3/4 " sample line piping and appurtances to the chlorine analyzer and associated drain and vent piping. 7. Instrumentation and Control a. SCADA software and new computer hardware at the District office b. Programming of SCADA screens and controls for facility c. Furnish and install instruments and equipment noted in Division 13. d. The radio network infrastructure installation will be completed under a separate contract. 8. Startup, testing, and commissioning of the facility including demonstration of all process equipment, instrumentation, and controls functionality. 9. All related site work including trench excavation, groundwater dewatering, disposal of excess excavated materials, filter fabric, bedding, backfill, compaction, road/drive subbase, paving, load/seed and landscaping, chain linked fence and gates. 10. Other miscellaneous work shown in the Specifications for a complete and operational system
