Renovation of a municipal facility in Otisfield, Maine. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
The Town of Otisfield is requesting proposals for the installation of a roof-mounted Solar Array on its Town Office Located at 403 ME-121, Otisfield Maine 04270. The Town of Otisfield reserves the right to accept and/or reject any and all proposals. Project specific information: 2. The objective of the project is to maximize the potential Solar production of a roof mounted Array within the budget of up to $95,520 with high quality Solar components. 3. The Town has a separate CMP account for each location. The Town Office consumes approximately 13,000+- KWH per year while across all locations the Town consumes approximately 86,000 KWH+- per year. A copy of the accounts representing most of the electricity consumed will be provided separately. 4. Contractor shall recommend the best Net Energy approach to use - KWH credit or Tariff plan including its reasoning. 5. The Town is required to set aside the cost savings from the Array to be used for purposes of Energy Efficiency and Improvement upgrades, any advice the best calculation method would be appreciated. 6. The Town Office structure a main building with a south facing hip roof, east and west roofs and an attached addition with East and West facing roofs. Additional dimensions of the roof that may become available will be sent separately. The roof dimensions and available area for panels are to be determined by the contractor as part of its design which shall conform to NFPA set back requirements. 7. Currently servicing the Town office premises is (1) a 200-amp electric Service panel, (2) an automatic generator and (3) a metal roof with Snow guards. 8. The Town will be upgrading the current electrical service to 400 AMPs, which will include 2 - 200-amp panels and a trough to be used by the contractor to interconnect the Array into the Electric service. 9. The Town will install the Sense Monitoring system to report on electric consumption in the building as required by the Grant Contract, this will not interact at all with the reporting system of the Array. 10. The Town is a governmental organization and as such is exempt from sales tax. 11. The contractor is responsible for securing all required permits and use, where required, licensed and duly trained professionals to complete the work, either as employees or sub-contractors. 12. The contractor shall assist the Town's reasonable request, as may be needed, for its reporting requirements under the terms of the grant. 13. The contractor is responsible for preparing and submitting the CMP interconnection application and obtaining CMP's approval of the same on behalf of the Town.
