Site work and paving for a civil project in Phippsburg, Maine. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; and water / sewer project.

Work under this contract includes all work required to complete the Transfer Station Improvements - Phase 1 project in Phippsburg, Maine, as shown on the plans. In general, the work involves areas of paved full depth reconstruction, and areas of removing pavement, regrading, and paving. In addition, the project includes common excavation, grading, installation of concrete waste block retaining walls, and drainage system improvements. (207) 443-1508 jrprue@pte-maine.com Location #1 shall be constructed first in order to facilitate temporary storage of metals, tires, refrigerant appliances so that the Town can maintain normal Transfer Station operations throughout the duration of the construction. Active construction is only allowed on days when the Transfer Station is closed to the public. The Transfer Station is open to the public on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays. The undersigned agrees, if this bid is accepted, to complete the work between September 3, 2024 and November 1, 2024. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any technical or legal deficiencies, and to accept any bid which is deemed to be in the best interest of the Owner. The proposed work shall include the following items: 1. Common excavation, backfilling, compacting, and grading. 2. Installing drainage system including 18'' HDPE culvert, and stone-lined ditching. 3. Installation of compacted gravel base and subbase per the plans. 4. Installation of hot mix asphalt surface and base pavement per the plans. 5. Installation of concrete waste block retaining walls (2' x 2' x 6' x 2 rows high). 6. The Contractor is responsible for dust control, and soil erosion and sedimentation control throughout the duration of the project.
