Site work and paving for a road / highway in Phippsburg, Maine. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
The project involves full depth reconstruction of approximately 1,630 linear feet on West Point Road in Phippsburg. Work includes common excavation, rock excavation, installation of drainage systems, riprap slope protection, slipform concrete curbing, gravel base and subbase, hot mix asphalt pavement and pavement markings, stone-lined ditching, gravel shoulders, steel beam guardrail, and other work-related items. Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope or package clearly indicating the type of bid. All bidders must furnish a completed Bid Form, Experience Record, a list of all subcontractors to be utilized, and a bid security in the amount of 5% of the total bid in the form of a Bid Bond or certified check made out to the Town of Phippsburg. The successful bidder must furnish a 100% Construction Performance Bond, 100% Construction Labor and Material Payment Bond, and a Certificate of Insurance in accordance with specified requirements. The Town reserves the right to waive formalities, reject any and all bids, or accept any bid. Question Deadline 05/21/2026 at 5:00 PM ET Questions will be accepted until 5:00 p.m. on this date.
