Site work and paving for a road / highway in Saint Albans, Maine. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway.

The Town of St. Albans is accepting bids for reconstruction work on Denbow Road and Bryant Road. Bidders are required to provide labor and equipment for the project, while the Town supplies materials such as gravel and geotextile fabric. The contractor must use a 10-ton vibratory roller for compaction, handle Dig Safe requirements, grade the sub-base for the appropriate road width, and coordinate with the Road Commissioner to ensure specifications are met. Specific tasks include box cut excavation, installation of stabilization fabric, placing and compacting specified layers and types of gravel, and ensuring new material integrates with the existing road for proper water runoff. Work locations will be staked and flagged by the Town. Bidders must submit proof of general liability insurance, automobile coverage, workers compensation, or exemption, and a W9. Proposals must be submitted in a sealed envelope with all required documentation and three professional references. The Board of Selectmen reserves the right to reject any or all bids. a . Denbow Road : Perform a box cut excavation approximately 550 linear feet long by 20 feet wide to a depth of 1 foot . Install approximately 15 feet by 550 feet of Geotextile 500 stabilization fabric as directed . Place and compact 12 inches of 3 - inch crushed ledge gravel over the prepared subgrade for the full 550 -foot roadway length and 22 -foot width — creating a finished product of 22 -foot road surface . Place and compact 6 inches of 1 - inch surface gravel over approximately 2,600 feet . New material laid must tapper into existing road surface with appropriate grade for water runoff . Bryant Road : i . ii . Install approximately 15 feet by 100 feet of Geotextile 500 stabilization fabric . Place and compact 12 inches of 3 - inch crushed ledge gravel over approximately 100 linear feet long by 22 feet wide - creating a finished product of 22 - foot road surface . Place and compact 6 inches of 1- inch surface gravel over approximately 600 feet . New material laid must tapper into existing road surface with appropriate grade for water runoff . Install approximately 15 feet by 300 feet of Geotextile 500 stabilization fabric . Place and compact 12 inches of 3 - inch crushed ledge gravel over approximately 300 linear feet long by 22 feet wide - creating a finished product of 22 -foot road surface . Place and compact 6 inches of 1- inch surface gravel over approximately 2,000 feet . New material laid must tapper into existing road surface with appropriate grade into knolls and water runoff
