Site work, paving and new construction of a mixed-use development in Trenton, Maine. Completed plans call for the construction of a transportation facility; for site work for a transportation facility; and for paving for a transportation facility.
** As of June 11, 2025, the project was awarded to Nickerson & O’Day, with an awarded amount of $3,396,322.07.** Construct Snow Removal Equipment (SRE) Building and Reconstruct Airport Service Road / Construct Taxilane This work generally consists of the following elements: o Construct Snow Removal Equipment (SRE) Building, and 3"+/- HMA (2-1.5 in lifts). o Reconstruct Existing Service Road, 3"+/- HMA. o Construct Taxilane, 3 "+/- HMA o Install temporary and new security fence. A certified check or bid bond in an amount not less than 5% of the bid price for the Contract work will be required from each bidder. The bid security, made payable to the County of Hancock, shall be as described under Instruction to Bidders. Questions received after 12:00 noon of Tuesday April 15 will not be answered. Bidders shall not contact any other individual for clarification of Contract provisions, and Hancock County will not be responsible for any interpretations so obtained. It is expected that the Contractor will order all necessary equipment and materials associated with the project as soon as the contract has been executed to avoid delays when the "Notice to Proceed" is issued. It is the intention of Hancock County to provide a Notice of Award and a Notice to Proceed prior to May 23rd, 2025 to allow for summer 2025 construction to begin The County of Hancock reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all bids, or to accept any other than the lowest bidder, should it be deemed to be in the best interest of the County to do so.
