Renovation of a transportation facility in Trenton, Maine. Completed plans call for the renovation of a transportation facility.
The County of Hancock, Maine invites sealed bid proposals for furnishing all labor and materials and performing all work in connection with a construction contract at the Hancock County-Bar Harbor Airport, Trenton, Maine as follows: Terminal Window Rehabilitation A certified check or bid bond in an amount not less than 5% of the bid price for the Contract work will be required from each bidder. The bid security, made payable to the County of Hancock, shall be as described under INSTRUCTION TO BIDDERS. Questions received after time and date will not be answered. Bidders shall not contact any other individual for clarification of Contract provisions, and Hancock County will not be responsible for any interpretations so obtained. It is the bidder's responsibility to provide an e-mail address to the Engineer for use in issuance of any addenda. It is expected that the Contractor will order all necessary equipment and materials associated with the project as soon as the contract has been executed to avoid delays when the "Notice to Proceed" is issued. It is the intention of Hancock County to provide a Notice of Award and a Notice to Proceed prior to May 23 rd , 2025 to allow for summer 2025 construction to begin The proposed development to be accomplished under this contract will be subject to the Federal Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) requirements of 41 CFR Part 60, Executive Order 11246, and Title VI of the Civil Rights Act; the State of Maine EEO; and the Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Plan of the Federal Aviation Administration and the County of Hancock, Maine. This contract has a DBE participation goal of 3.70%. The County of Hancock reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all bids, or to accept any other than the lowest bidder, should it be deemed to be in the best interest of the County to do so.
