The Town of Turner is accepting bids for hot mix shimming and surface paving during the 2026 construction season. Bids will be reviewed and awarded to the bidder that best meets the needs of the town. There will be a non-mandatory pre-bid conference at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 30, at the Turner Town Office to review the scope of work. Complete bid specifications and details are available on the town's website. 1. Poland Road - From Lower Street to end, plus turnaround. Surface will be gravel. Pave to 2" compacted depth - 1 pass. Estimated 740 feet by 17 feet wide, plus turnaround area at final driveway, as marked. 2. Mason Road - From Route 4 back to Route 4. Shim and existing paved areas to 1" compacted depth. Estimated 2,910 by 20 feet width. Also two gravel areas at southern end, estimated at 139 feet combined by 20 feet width - 1.5 inch base plus 1 inch surface. 3. Wood Street - From Route 4 to top of hill at private drive by Echo Lane. Shim and pave to 1" compacted depth. Estimated 1,280 feet by 21 feet wide. 4. Wood Street (Alternative) - Entire length from Route 4 to Fern Street. Shim and pave to 1" compacted depth. Estimated 4,700 feet by 21 feet wide. 5. Harlow Hill Road - Upper end from Route 219 south to farm. Shim and pave to 1" compacted depth. Estimated 5,087 feet by 22 feet.wide. 6. Harlow Hill Road (Alternative)- Entire length from Route 4 to Route 219. Shim and pave to 1" compacted depth. Estimated 12,243 feet by 22 feet wide. 7. Plains Road - From Tidswell Road north to end of project in 2025. Surface paving only - no shim. Pave to 1" compacted depth. Estimated 7,255 feet by 21 feet wide. 8. Mooselook Drive - From Center Bridge Road to end. Shim and pave to 1" compacted depth, estimated 370 feet by 20 feet width, plus turnaround at 60 feet by 20 feet wide. Also Gravel Section, 1.5 inch base, plus 1 inch surface coat, estimated at 370 feet by 20 feet wide.. 9. Pit Road - From Turner Highway Garage to pole on northeast side of gate, presently gravel, 1.5" base coat plus 1" surface coat. Estimated at 365 feet by 20 feet wide. Also apron by Route 4 - 80 feet wide, tapering to 22 feet, approximately 50 feet length. 10. Pit Road Apron - From edge of Route 4 shoulder inward approximately 50 feet. 80 feet wide at Route 4, tapering to 22 feet. Shim and pave to 1" compacted depth. 11.
