Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Waterville, Maine. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a road / highway; and sidewalk / parking lot.
The City of Waterville is soliciting bids for paving services for approximately 45 tons of asphalt. The job consists of paving multiple sections of sidewalk on Upper Main Street. All paved areas are to be paved with 2" of 9.5mm compacted in one lift. The existing sidewalk will be removed, and gravel will be graded by the Department of Public Works. The work is as follows: Upper Main Street Sidewalks: There are approximately 22 sections of sidewalk that need to be repaved totaling roughly 700'of sidewalk at 5' wide. The department of Public Works will remove all existing pavement and prep the subgrade for paving. The contractor will be responsible for tacking all existing pavement joints and paving the new sidewalk with 2" of compacted 9.5mm HMA. The bid will be awarded based on the BID TOTAL. The City reserves the right to accept or reject any bid. Contracts will be awarded only after authorization by the City Council.
