a Preparation: Existing roof ballast, membrane, edge metal, flashing, insulation, rotten wood nailers and building materials will be removed down to the existing concrete deck. All existing drains, pitch pockets, sleeves, flashings, expansion joints, capped curbs, etc. will be replaced as part of this project b Vapor Barrier: Clean and prep concrete deck per manufacturer recommendation. Install VaporSmart self-adhering vapor barrier set in SA Primer (allow primer to dry) "Picture Frame" installed around all perimeter and penetration locations. Run membrane 12" onto the field and roll in place and run up all areas to 2" past the cant strip. c Insulation: Over the properly installed vapor barrier, the contractor will install an 1/8" slope taper polyisocyanurate insulation (2.6" min thickness at the edge of the drain sump) attach via the notes below. A 1/2 " layer of cover board (i.e. DensDeck Prime) will be installed with Insul-Lock HR insulation adhesive per the requirements below. All drains to receive a 4'x4' drain sump with 1/4 " slope. 1/4 " crickets to be used as needed. (a) Concrete Deck Areas: Insulation & cover board to be adhered with insulation adhesive using 3/4" ribbons installed 12" on center for all zones over the concrete roof deck. (b) Wood Deck Areas: install polyisocyanurate insulation with fasteners using 11 fasteners for Zone 1, 17 fasteners for Zone 2, and 22 fasteners for Zone 3. Install 1/2" coverboard set in insulation adhesive at using 12" OC ribbon pattern for Zone 1, 6" ribbon pattern for Zone 2, and 4" ribbon pattern for Zone 3. Replacement of 3 roof sections at their Treatment Facility at 401 Water Street, Waterville, ME 04901 and 1 roof section at a pump station in Fairfield.
