New construction of a warehouse / distribution facility in Wells, Maine. Completed plans call for the construction of a 1,000-square-foot, one-story above grade warehouse / distribution facility.
Sealed bids are invited for the Harbor Utility/Storage Building. Bid packages are available from the Town Manager's Office or on the web. Bids will be publicly opened and read at the designated location and time. Scope of work: Contractor will supply all tools, labor and materials to construct a: Wood framed building to be built on top of existing foundation. The building will be 40 feet by 25 feet in size and include a 12' x 12' garage door, and 4 windows that measure 32" x 54" and one 3' main door. The building should be wood framed using 2" x 6" KD material, with a wall height of 12 feet. Walls should be sheathed out with a minimum of 1/2 " T1-11. Roof is to be built with structural trusses built to withstand snow-load as defined in IBC2021 building code. Roof is to be sheathed with 5/8 plywood material and covered with architectural shingles with a minimum 50-year warranty. Construction by the winning bidder is to commence by and be completed in a reasonable amount of time, as determined by the Harbor Master.
