Furbish Road Sidewalk Improvements Location: Project is located along Furbish Road in Wells, in York County. Outline of Work: The Base Bid includes construction of approximately 1,050 LF of sidewalk. Work includes removal of existing pavement, installation and grading of base gravels for the new sidewalk, new sidewalk pavement, installation of detectable warning plates, roadway and pavement striping, new pedestrian delineators, and other incidental work. The Bid Alt (Bid Alt A) includes reconstruction of a viewing platform located on federal lands and accessed by the proposed sidewalk. Work under Bid Alt A includes demolition of the existing viewing platform, grading of base gravel at the viewing platform drive and installing reclaim, installing split rail fence, construction of the new viewing platform, and other incidental work.
