Renovation of a municipal facility in Winn, Maine. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
As of 10/14/2025 the bids have been received. No decision will be made until the grant money is in place. This could take 3-6 months or more. The Town of Winn requests bids on the following projects at the Town Office - 1. Removal of bay door and enclosing wall. Installation of handicapped accessible door. 2. Addition of storage space. 3. Reconfigure kitchen for commercial purposes. Remove Bay Door & Construct walls 1. This project is within the Community Room section of the building on the east end. 2. Tasks include: a. Removal of the Bay Garage Door, associated lifting mechanism and springs (this door will be sold to use toward the cost of the project) i. The door is approximately 14x 13 in size. ii. Once the door is removed: 1. Construct outer wall including insulation, siding, electric outlets 2. Install handicapped accessible French doors w/opener 3. Build an outdoor canopy over the door to match one over other outer door. (see picture) b. Remove 4Wall bordering office c. Remove 4 wall & entrance door to office d. Construct 4 wall & install new entrance door to office e. Replace outer entrance door to office with more secure steel door w/ window insert f. Install new Heat pump Reconfigure kitchen for commercial purposes. Details of requests available at the Winn Town Office - (207)736-7111 or treasurer@townofwinn.org.
