As of October 13, 2022, an architect has been selected. Interviews were conducted on September 21, 2022. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: ............ The Master Plan outlines a near and long-term plan. Key components of the near-term plan are: Development of a parking structure along Fontaine Avenue and transportation connections as initial enabling projects. Demolition of 545 Ray C. Hunt [Medical Office Building (MOB) 2] - the building will be largely vacated by current project underway at Ivy Mountain. Creation of the central green street and improved Ray C. Hunt entry drive and intersection to enhance wayfinding, pedestrian, vehicular and transit circulation, and amenities. Development of up to approximately 500,000 GSF for clinical and research space. The scope of the feasibility/ concept study will include site and garage conceptual planning and design sufficient to confirm master plan level costs, parking space capacity and circulation, determine amount of master plan road and pedestrian infrastructure to be included, understand University Transit bus service/ accommodation, determine need for and define interim circulation conditions, outline an initial project schedule, determine necessary updates to the current traffic study and obtain any requisite data, and explore innovative construction methods that will result in a cost effective project. This feasibility/ concept study will build on the Fontaine Master Plan, refer to the Parking and Transportation Master Plan and Landscape Framework Plan, and coordinate as necessary with the County’s US 29 to Fontaine project.
