Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Charlottesville, Virginia. Completed plans call for the construction of a 300,000-square-foot, six-story above grade laboratory facility; and for site work for a educational facility.

Project consists of a five to six-story complex of approximately 270,000 to 300,000 GSF. Work includes the creation of flexible, modular, multi-use experimental research and support spaces to accommodate a broad range of disciplines; a manufacturing core; a vivarium; an advanced imaging core; and conferencing, seminar, and building amenity space. As of October 25, 2024, earlier design trades have already bid for this project. As of this date, mass excavation is complete, shoring in place, site utilities are installed, and concrete foundations are being placed. Upcoming bid packages in the next 30-45 days include: Masonry, Roofing, Air Vapor Barrier, Exterior Expansion Joints, Fireproofing, Exterior Metal Framing and Fire Sprinklers. Remaining scopes will be procured 2nd Quarter of 2025.
