The project calls for construction of a library and administrative building to be located within the Flagler County's government complex area at 1769 E. Moody Boulevard, near Commerce Parkway in Section 11, Township 12 South, Range 30 East in Bunnell, Flagler County, Florida. The resulting construction project is to be a modern building to be utilized by the Flagler County Public Library System as a public library and administrative headquarters. This building is to be approximately 16,000 to 20,000 square feet in size, with allowance for an additional 30,000 square foot expansion to occur at a later date. The initial buildout would preferably be a single level floor plan with an easily identifiable and attractive public entrance. This entrance is envisioned to potentially open up in the initial phase or future phases to a joint use lobby that may be utilized as a reception space for events while having access to two large dividable conference rooms/meeting rooms, caf/food court, and restrooms. Uses under consideration for the initial space include a circulation/reference staff area, drive-through book drop/pick up space, interactive play and staff workroom, teen department, collection space, computer area, other technology space, meeting/conference room/study rooms, staff offices, and staff lounge areas. Uses under consideration for the future space include senior services, innovative technology departments, and business or businesses which may have a synergistic element which would enhance the overall library experience.
