Description

New construction of a transportation facility in Peterborough, Ontario. Conceptual plans call for the construction of a transportation facility.

Construction of a new transit garage, storage facility building, to replace the existing facility on Townsend Street and permit future expansion of Peterborough Transit. Location: 901 Monaghan Road/575 Romaine Street. TIMELINE: Plans are conceptual. An RFP to complete a Municipal Class Environmental Assessment Study which will result in the completion of a Transit and Rail Project Assessment Process, (“TRPAP”) has closed. Site remediation is ongoing. Provincial and federal funding have recently been announced. Further update on may be confirmed fall 2026. *Total project budget is $62.75 million.
